Electronic Music- Alex Pall

The famous music duo artist who make The Chainsmokers recently released their new single “Closer” which is a collaboration with another celebrity Halsey. The two artists have released other songs including “Don’t Let me Down” and “Roses”. The two songs among others which are a radio hits are made by Alex Pall, and Andrew Taggart. It is a common thing for artists to make songs on their own, but it is different for Pall and Andrew who mostly rely on the vocalist, as well as music writers to make their music. The pair is DJs and they have worked hard to personalize their dance music and make a name for themselves in the music industry rather than just being DJ’s.

Unlike other DJs like deadmau5 who have always worked behind the booths, Taggart and Pall are working towards coming out and becoming popular among the people. Alex Pall grew up loving being a Dj and after school, he began Djing in New York City and to him it was just a side job, but he was passionate about. While he was in New York City, Pall felt it was scary to do something like Djing in the big city that felt more fun than just a job. At one point when attending an art gallery, he found out that dance music was becoming popular and he wanted to give it a try. Pall was still working with their current manager when they met with Andrew Taggart. Pall had to quit his job and Taggart had to move to Maine for them to start working together.

Before Andrew met Alex, he was still in college and electronic music was his passion. In College, Drew loved putting on v-necks and listening to dance music a character that his friends to make fun of him. Andrew loved music and he began making as well as producing music. During the time there were DJs from college who were getting signed up, Andrew produced a couple of songs and put them on SoundCloud and he also had an opportunity to play in different shows. The two contemporary DJs knew they are going to work together because they have the same goal.
