Michael Terpins Makes a Grand Performance at the Sartoes Rally

The Sertoes Rally ranks as one of the most grueling rally tracks in South America. The annual event is well into its second decade running and it tests the limits and skills of the rally drivers over the 155 km long track. At the just concluded Sertoes Rally, the outstanding driver and co-driver pair of Rodrigo Terpins managed to finish in the seventh place. The pair navigated the extraneous course in slightly over 2 hours. Rodrigoo and his partner drove a Prototype T1 rally car model; his brother, Michael T. failed to complete the circuit, according to Terra.com

Rodrigo Terpins’ number 326 prototype car handled just perfectly on its first outing, but the lot had to exercise excessive caution on the dirt terrains. Michael Terpins got into a minor accident on the outing that completely damaged their KM 62 four-wheel driver. The unfortunate duo was later released by the medics but that was also the end of the Sartores Rally completion of the two veteran drivers.

Social Media

The rallying brothers have an active social media presence. The duo doesn’t shy away from replying to the personal messages from their thousands of rally followers and supporters. Follow the Terpins bro’s via their Official Twitter and Instagram handles shared here.

The 25th edition of the Bull Rally, by then, billed as the most anticipated events on the rallying calendar happened in August 2017. Michael Terpins and his trusted navigator, Maykel Justo, and most importantly, their T1 T-Rex inspired prototype cars had staged full recoveries.

Facts and Figures

The Bull Sertoes course covered a jaw-dropping 3,300 kilometers but, that fact didn’t perturb the dynamic racers of Michael and Maykel one bit since they knew their car was at optimal performance levels. The 25th edition of the Sertores event saw the off-road competitors race their buggies across different types of terrains for days. The annual rally competition features UTVs, motorbikes, quadricyles and other types of prototype cars. The event saw the professional and armature riders drive through the borders of four counties.

Michael and his elder brother, Rodrigo Terpins come from a proud racing family. Their father was an astute racer back in the old days but had since retired to focus on training his sons on how to race like champions

The iconic Susan McGalla

Statistics show that gender diversity, as well as diverse ethnicity in the workplace, is a factor that leads to better performance in businesses. However, despite these clear indications many corporations are yet to adopt the aspect of gender and ethical diversification. Very few women are given the opportunity to take on leadership positions in companies despite the fact that they are very capable. On the other hand, the few that have been offered this highly coveted opportunity strive to prove that they earned the position and hence find themselves outshining even their male competitors. Among these influential women is the iconic Susan McGalla.

The fifty-three-year-old Susan McGalla is a businesswoman and executive advisor with an American nativity from Pittsburgh Steelers. She was born and raised in a family with two brothers. Her football coach father was strict in how he raised her; he never gave her any preference from her brothers because of her femininity. She has hence always had to work as hard as her brothers or even harder to get what she wanted. She attributed her success in her career to how her father brought her up.

After receiving her Business and Marketing Degree from the college of Mount Union, Susan kick-started her career working in different marketing and managerial positions at the Joseph Horne Company for almost a decade. In 1994, she went on to work at American Eagle Outfitters as a divisional stock purchaser for women’s clothing. She managed to keep rising in ranks in the company until she eventually landed the role of Chief Merchandising Officer and president. After a successful run in the establishment, Susan McGalla left in 2009 and began her private consultancy practice for retail and financial investment. Three years later she took on the task of CEO of West Seal after the termination of Ed Thomas’s tenure. Later that year, she got an appointment at the table of HFF Inc. Board of Directors.

After a while, McGalla left West Seal and founded P3 Executive Consulting where she currently works as the vice president of creative development and Business Strategy. For women to reach Susan’s height of success, they are encouraged to look into Executive Sponsorship since women leadership initiatives have failed to give the expected results.

Stepping Up-Desiree Perez of ROC Nation one of six female music executives to call Neil Portnow out on his “out of touch” comments regarding women in music.

Legendary music executive Desiree Perez of ROC Nation was one of six female recording industry leaders to respond this week to Neil Portnow, the president of the Recording Academy’s comment that women in music need to “step up” if they want to advance their careers.“Neil Portnow’s comments are not a reflection of being ‘inarticulate’ in a single interview. They are, unfortunately, emblematic of a much larger issue with the [National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences] organization as a whole on the broader set of inclusion issues across all demographics,” the women wrote in a letter sent to the Recording Academy’s board of trustees. The strongly worded letter also called the Academy, which presents the Grammy awards, “woefully out of touch with today’s music, the music business, and even more significantly society.”

The letter was signed by Jody Gerson, the chief executive of Universal’s publishing arm; Michele Anthony, an executive vice president at the Universal Music Group; Sylvia Rhone, the president of Epic Records; Julie Greenwald, the co-chairman of Atlantic Records; Julie Swidler, the general counsel of Sony Music; and Desiree Perez, the chief operating officer of Roc Nation. The letter makes it clear that these executives write on behalf of their companies, encompassing the three most influential music conglomerates in the world.

Due to the criticisms of Portnow and the Academy as a whole by Perez and the executives as well as artists such as Pink and Kelly Clarkson and the calls for Portnow’s resignation by industry lawyers and talent managers, the Academy has announced that it will create a task force to review it’s work in order to “overcome the explicit barriers and unconscious biases that impede female advancement in the music community.”Desiree Perez, COO of ROC Nation, is best known for her work with Jay-Z, but she has also worked with many top female artists such as Beyonce, Rihanna, and Mariah Carey. Her skills as a negotiator, her toughness, and her compassion have helped her to succeed in a male-dominated industry. Her recent criticisms of the industry are in line with her support of artist Mariah Carey’s involvement in the Time’s Up Movement and her assistance in spreading the #MeToo movement.

Bob Reina: Humble And Hungry

Bob Reina is very humble in his role as the CEO and founder of Talk Fusion, but he is also very hungry. I don’t mean hungry in the way we usually talk about someone being hungry. I mean he is hungry for more. In 2016, the company won two awards with one of them being the 2016 Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award. It was a great honor and it’s something he was very proud of as it gained a lot of press for Talk Fusion. However, he is hungry to do even more with Talk Fusion and look for what is around the corner and what is next. Learn more: https://twitter.com/bobreina

It is that kind of excitement and that kind of joy that gets Bob Reina up in the morning and gets his creative juices flowing. It is the same kind of spirit and attitude he sees in a lot of the people that use Talk Fusion for all of their video needs. It is no secret that video is the wave of the present and the wave of the future. It is how people are interacting with one another these days. Bob Reina is also seeing that people are using it to make a living for themselves as well.

That is one of the greatest things, and it is why he remains hungry. The humble part is something that should not get lost in the shuffle, either. He is humble because even though the company has had success and he has been interviewed a lot because of it, he remains the same guy. You can watch an interview with him from years ago and watch one today, and he is the same exact person. He has changed, just like anyone else, but at his core, he is still a great guy with a big heart. That is the most important part that will never change. If anything, he will only become a better person in the future because he is committed to it.

Bob Reina is committed to everything he does, no matter how big the scope is at the end of the day. He wants to commit all he can to it and he wants to go all out for his customers and for his team over at Talk Fusion. He realizes they are really onto something special here, and he wants to keep riding that wave and keep moving the company in the right direction.

For the customers, they can’t wait to see what Bob Reina is going to introduce next and what is going on with his IT team. They are known as the best in the industry and they are always working and tinkering with something.

Eric Lefkofsky and Tempus Collect the Data for a Cancer Cure

Tempus seeks to cure cancer through collecting and processing patient information on both a traditional and chemical level. Tempus, a potential operating system for cancer care, could potentially revolutionize the healthcare collection by making the collection of an individual’s genetic makeup as normal as a blood draw. Analyzing this data is just as important for preventative medicine as it is for finding more personalized treatments for patients according to their body chemistry. By anaylzing the data collected from patients around the world Lefkofsky believes cures could potentially be found through patient data.

A lot of information that is collected is lost between specialists, offices, and visits. Tempus will make it so more of this information is analyzed and stored by making it so hand-written doctors’ notes can be more easily captured and processed into structured data. Currently, a lot of these important progress notes are lost over time and never really put into a patient’s long term record.

Most people don’t ever think about how the data is stored medically until they get sick, but with over 14.5 million people living with cancer in 2014 in the United States alone it isn’t something that should just be looked past. Eric Lefkofky hadn’t thought of the problem until his wife Liz was diagnosed with breast cancer and he saw the problems in patient data first hand. He later stepped down from CEO to chairman of Groupon, a company Lekofsky co-founded, to focus on Tempus.

Eric Lefkofsky has had a fair share of success in business, but his charitable works are just as if not more impressive. The Lefkofsky’s have donated millions to different charities with focus on cancer related initiatives and projects that help the greater Chicago area. Eric and Liz built the Lefkofsky Foundation, a charitable organization that serves the greater Chicago area through four areas of focus: medical research, the arts, human rights and education.

Eric Lefkofsky is an adjunct professor at the University of Chicago and graduated from the University of Michigan Law School with a Juris Doctor. He specializes in disruptive technology, and wants to e-enable businesses.
