Professor Sujit Choudhry, creating international constitutions

Sujit Choudhry is an internationally known expert on constitutional law. He has had the honor of putblic speaking in over two dozen countries. Professor Choudhry is the Director of the Center for Constitutional Transitions. The Center is located at The University of California, Berkeley, Law School. The Center provides information for building constitution while putting together and directing experts who perform research projects on policy options internationally. The Center has worked with over fifty professionals in about twenty five countries across the world.

Professor Sujit Choudhry attended many top universities and colleges during his continued education. Both of his parents were professors and put a great value on higher education. He Graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from McGill University in 1992. In 1994 Sujit Choudhry earned a Bachelor of Arts in Law from the University of Oxford. Sujit obtained his Bachelor of Laws in 1998 from the University of Toronto. In 1998 Sujit graduated with his Mastersof Laws from Harvard Law School.  Check on He is a specialist in constitutional law and has an extensive legal employment history. While attending Harvard Sujit was employed as a Law Clerk for the Supreme Court of Canada. He advanced to become an assistant professor of law at the University of Toronto until 2004. Professor Sujit Choudhry worked for a short four months as the global visiting professor of law for the New York University school of law. He retutnred to the University of Toronto to become an associate professor of law until 2010. Professor Choudhry returned to New York University school of law from 2011 to 2014 for a three year role as Cecelia Goetz Professor of Law and from there moved on to the University of California, Berkeley Law School. Throughout his professional career, Professor Sujit Choudhry was a constitutional advisor for many newly beginning democracies.
