The Idea That Drew Jorge Moll

Jorge Moll is a Neuroscientist that founded and heads D’Or Institute of Research and Education. He received his MD in Neuroscience at the Federal University of Rio de Janiero in Brazil. Moll completed his residency there as well. Dr. Moll’s Ph. D. was later received from Sao Paulo University in Experimental Pathophysiology.

Jorge Moll’s motivation is providing assistance to those whose quality of life is negatively affected by suffering from various conditions. He currently is President and board member of D’Or Institute of Research and Education (IDOR) and also the Director of the Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience Unit (CBNU) and Neuroinformatics Workgroup, which is a diagnostics and imaging laboratory that is top-ranked. When not helping people in his career field, Moll enjoys spending time with his family in Rio de Janeiro where he lives.

The idea of the D’Or Institute of Research and Education came to Jorge Moll by his passion and dream of cultivating world-class education, research, and healthcare in his home country. On an average day, you can find Moll speaking to researchers, entrepreneurs, associates, scientists, and students based on the fundamentals of having free exchange of ideas and collaboration. Collaboration is also a factor when it comes to choosing which of his ideas to make reality. If Moll’s idea involves collaborating and be put into a plan of action, then it will be more likely for Moll to turn that idea into a reality.

When it comes to having ideas, which are plentiful for Jorge Moll, he believes in not holding on to any idea for too long. He either moves forward with them quickly or quickly moves on to the next one. Jorge Moll suggest people read the book “The Exegesis” by Philip Dick. His favorite quote is “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication” by DaVinci.
